Insight
People with a disability are often defined by limitations. But with the right support, they’re not just participants. They are players. The European Disability Card isn’t just a benefit. It’s access, a key and a tool that can change how you experience the world.
Challenge
FPS Social Security wanted to promote the European Disability Card through real-life testimonials, stories that would highlight the practical benefits of the card for people with a disability. But from the very beginning, we knew there was room to go deeper. So how do you go beyond just sharing information and create something that resonates and shows its true potential?
Creative Approach
Flip the script and make the card the hero. Instead of testimonial videos, we created a metaphorical card game where every player holds a unique card, but one card connects them all. When it’s played, everything shifts as the players are transported to a magical new space where access is shared and everyone wins. You too can win with just one card.
Result
By blending cinematic precision with human softness, we reimagined what a corporate video could be. Featured across every communication channel of the public service department, the film didn’t just raise awareness, it got people to truly listen. And along the way, it quietly picked up an award too.
Behind The Project
At Pelican Street, collaboration is more than a process, it’s the core of everything we create.
This project came to life thanks to a team that worked in perfect rhythm:
Director Julie Daems brought warmth storytelling that elevated the concept with subtlety and style. Our producers and creatives worked hand-in-hand with the FPS to reshape the original strategy and build something more ambitious.
Together, we turned a public service message into a human, cinematic experience and the work was proudly awarded for its impact.
